Gluten-Free Sausage Gravy

Sausage Gravy and Biscuits to kickstart the day is like getting a warm, cuddly bear hug from Grandpa on a cold frosty morning. It’s the snuggle blanket of breakfast food! Our gluten-free sausage gravy paired with our Egg Biscuits is so mouthwatering good, no one will ever know it’s gf! Go on, indulge! Serves 4-6.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz pork sausage, bulk (453g)
  • 1⁄2 cup Éban’s GF AP flour blend (about 2 oz/57g)
  • 2+ cups whole milk, more may be needed based on desired consistency of gravy
  • 1⁄2 tsp Cavender’s Greek seasoning (or your favorite all-purpose gf seasoning)
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the sausage on medium high heat until cooked through, breaking the sausage up into small pieces with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat the sausage in the flour.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk, a 1⁄2 cup at a time, stirring after each addition as the mixture thickens into a creamy gravy, cooking on medium to low heat, using as much milk as needed to reach desired consistency.
  4. Add seasoning blend and pepper to taste. Add salt if desired.
  5. Serve hot ladled over Éban’s Egg Biscuits.
