Homemade Boursin Cheese Spread

This Boursin style cheese spread tastes almost identical to the original and can be enjoyed anytime, in so many ways, and at a fraction of the cost of the name brand! Try it on a piece of your favorite Éban's Bread toasted golden brown, in a hearty GF pasta dish, on top of a perfectly grilled steak or baked potato, or spread over our crispy Crostini!

Adrienne's Homemade Boursin Cheese Spread 

 makes about 3/4 lb

Ingredients

1- 8oz Cream Cheese, softened

1- 4oz stick Salted Butter, softened

1/8 tsp dried Thyme

1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 tsp dried Chives

1/4 tsp dried Oregano

1/4 tsp dried Basil

1/2 tsp dried Dill

1 1/2 tsp dried Parsley

1 1/2 Tbsp grated Parmesan Cheese

1/4 tsp cracked Black Pepper

2 tsp Heavy Cream

 

Directions

  1. Whip the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until very smooth.
  2. Add the softened butter and continue to whip until well incorporated and smooth & creamy.
  3. Add all the herbs, the Parmesan cheese and pepper and mix slowly to blend well.
  4. Add heavy cream 1 tsp at a time to desired consistency.
  5. Store in an airtight container refrigerated until ready to use.
  6. Can be frozen for several months if you want to have a large batch on hand to defrost for easy, do-ahead entertaining.
