Fruit and Herb Infused Water

Refreshing, fruit and herb-infused water is the perfect quencher as Spring sun beams once again brighten our world and warm us while we work outside, cleaning up the yard from its long winter’s nap, prepping garden space, or when just doing some serious porch-sittin’. The possibilities of combinations of fruits, herbs and flavors are as endless and as creative as the imagination! Try it with fresh basil, blackberries, mint and lime; or crisp apple slices, sliced fresh ginger, lemon and a fresh thyme or rosemary sprig, for example. And its awfully pretty-perfect for a special gathering or a Sunday picnic. Serve it up ice cold and drink it down for tasty hydration!

FRUIT & HERB INFUSED WATER

  • ½ gallon Filtered Water
  • ½ Seedless Cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 ea Tangerine, segmented
  • 5-6 ea Strawberries, stemmed and quartered
  • 1 ea Lemon, thinly sliced
  • 3-4 sprigs Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 sprig Fresh Tarragon

Add all ingredients to the filtered water and allow to infuse and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Enjoy over ice, spooning out pieces of fruit and herb into each glass. You can add more filtered water to the container using the same fruit for up to two days. After two days the fruit and herbs will have expended most of their goodness and it will be time to replace them.
